HUD Windshields

I'm thinking of changing out my windshield, by ordering one and letting
a local glass company replace it. Can anyone tell me the difference
between a HUD windshield and a non-HUD windshield. I notice the
HUD is more expensive, but is it worth the difference in price? Thanks
in advance.

do a search, ive read where alot of people do it and for the most part say that there is very little if no difference .but keep in mind i have not done this YET .

I put a HUD in my non-HUD equipped car. It looks great on a standard windshield. Personally, i would not opt for the special HUD glass.

I also have Heads Up Display in a non HUD car. It looks fine and anyone that has seen it (even if they have HUD in their car) thinks it looks fine.

I've got HUD and the special, whiz-bang-golly-gee-wow HUD glass. But when I wear polarized sunglasses, the display is all but invisible in the daylight, regardless. Glad I didn't pay any extra dough for it.

I too have heard that the HUD will work just fine with the non-HUD windshield. Quite a difference in price between the two.

Dont waste your money on the HUD one. Just get the standard. Mine works great and I have the HUD. I think it has a lot to do witht the angle of the windshild more than anything.
