I installed the CLB several months ago. Yesterday (for the 2nd time) I received the dreaded "Pull key & wait 10 seconds" message. After doing so, I restarted the car & the message went away. I'm a little unnerved after seeing this message again. Has anyone else seen this behavior with the CLB installed ?

Haven't had it happen to mine and my CLB has been installed for a couple of years. If someone else has had this happen, hopefully they will see this and let you know how they fixed it.

I don't think you need to worry.
I have the CLB installed and recently had my battery disconnected
for a day for some work. The first startup after re-connecting the
battery, I had the pull key message. I did and it went away.
I installed CLB 2 years ago. I just got message twice last month. It caught me off guard. Third time trying to start, no message. I dont think it is fixable. What is important to me is to catch the message on the DIC right away, and dont panic. I have a 98 which is known to not like the CLB in some cars, like mine.
Just had mine done by dealer last month and have had the pull key message several times. Believe my battery is on the way out. M6, they pulled the locking plate and seem to have left everything else in place.
My battery is a 6-month old Optima Red Top, so it's doubtful that's the cause. Next ?
How long had your car been sitting (since the last time you drove it)? I have noticed that when mine has been sitting for a while (like 2 weeks or so) that I may get the same message. The Pull Key message indicates a security system failure, not a Column Lock condition, so your CLB seems to be working fine.
it's been a couple years since I had that problem...
but I was able to fix it by pulling a fuse from the fuse panel in the passengers side footwell. I don't recall which fuse # it was, but maybe this will jog someones memory for you.

I had the the same happen thing shortly after I installed the CLB. Then not again for the last 2 years. It must be just a glitch somewhere in the system.
If you have a second key I would use that for a while and see if you still get the failure. If you do get it, then your ignition switch may be the problem - if it no longer happens then maybe the resistor in the key is going bad. Hope this helps...
So even though I've had the recalls done, if I buy a CLB, when the "pull key and wait 10 seconds" comes on you're saying my car will still drive and not cut off???
All I'm trying to do is get the car (98) to not shut the fuel pump off when the message flashes up. jddani@aol.com
I've never seen mention of a class action. Why is that? Mine has been back 7 times, it's there now and they still act like mine is an isolated incident. I just found this forum yesterday. I had no idea the problem was this rampant.

...the suspect key
if battery is ok..the key may be the issue ...
Try cleaning the key...
if problem remains...
Try back up key...
StuzVette with CLB had this issue in BG but I also took the back up set of keys...
...the back up set works fine and without an issue at all since...
