i dont see hwo this has increased your stopping power .. you probably would have gotten the same performance out of your stock sized rotors and upgraded your pads.

however aesthetically, they fill in the wheel quite nicely, and look great.
Well, I was going to do the pads and rotors anyway, and probably spent all of $150 extra on brackets, so it was worth it to me. Anyway, bigger rotors should = more mechanical advantage.

Thanks all for the comments, I love the way they look as well as perform! Too bad with the Hawk HP+ pads wheel cleaning is now a daily routine......

just some food for thought .. next time round look into PFC carbon-metallic ... i've had them on there for .. [looks at maintenance log]
31,556 miles of HARD breaking (about half the life is gone) .. that and upgraded the fluid to Motul 600 Dot 4 .. and it showed a vast improvement .. i've already replaced the back brakes (used Semi-Metallic) once .. huge difference between the dust on teh rears and the dust on the fronts.

.. i hope you enjoy them.

Just curious - are the Baer 14" rear rotors a C6 Z51 or C5 Z06 item?

Thanks

The Baer 14" rear rotors are for the C5, not the C6. C6 Z51s used a 13" (?) rear rotor I believe, while our C5s use 12"ers.

He will greatly increase his braking power. Larger rotors require less braking force and smaller calipers. The larger rotors will disperse heat better and do a fine job. There is no way he could have gotten the same performance with different pads.

Nice job with the brakes. It looks like a very good solution.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I must say after having them on the car for a little while, that they work and I'm very happy. The fact that they look better than the stockers is an added plus!
