Default Eckler's

Hold on there Sparky: I wasn't bashing anyone. I don't have anything against Eckler's...

I was asking for info and advice. That is what the forum is all about. I don't know anything about the merchant or its history. I'd like to see hand wave threads "locked" too but that doesn't make it a reality. If I can't ask you all a corvette parts question, then where do I learn? What good is a network that will not let you share your experiances?

Don't throw the baby out with the bath water...

Hate to see a sponsor bashed, but I do agree with the above - we've got to be able to share experiences - honestly, or, well, check out the WDP thread!

Besides, this could help the sponsors shape up and be of better service (that only applies to those that need to, NOT the the rest of you guys! )

At some point this thread and the others may be read by the vendor and prompt the vendor to adjust as they see fit. I certainly have no problem telling the manager the the "person" did a good job or a bad job. In fact I have been know to ask the customer service person on the phone to get the manager on the phone with us so that I can tell the manager how pleased I am with the service. I also have no problem getting the manager on the phone and telling them where some corrections need to be made. Ecklers is just one that has had constant problems over the last 3 years. Shoot, the Home Depot in my town is the same way, can't find what you want, the people either don't know how to help or literally run when you need their help.

Just received an order from Eckler's in a very timely fashion. My only complaint was the packaging. A Blackwing filter, in it's box, stuck inside a larger box with no packing material of ANY kind! Both boxes were crunched, but luckily the filter APPEARS to be O.K. I sent them an email telling them about the poor packaging, I'll be interested to see if they respond.

Just to set the record straight, I've ordered a number of parts from other vendors on this forum and never had a problem. I don't hate anyone, but if a vendor's service doesn't live up to my expectations, they're not going to get my business. If you or anyone else want to order from Ecklers that's fine, but they're not getting my business.

Default Eckler's

Just to shore up my point: I haven't canceled my order with Eckler's. I'm waiting for my part that was listed on their web site as "in stock." I asked you all for your experiances. If I was into bashing the company, I would have cancelled my order and moved on to a different supplier. I didn't take that action.

I just figured asking hundreds of corvette owners was a smart thing to do. I do thank you all for all the advise you have shared with my and my baby!

I hope they are correct. The current black stock frame looks like crap...

I like my stock black frame

Corvette America and Mid America are great places to get parts

Default End of story

FYI: The license frame I ordered arrived last evening. It looks great and ends the issue for me. Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment. Your opinions matter to me. Thank you again.

Glad to hear you got yours!! I'm still waiting. Its been over a month. I was told 3 times it was shipped. Yesterday they told me the painter didnt like the way it came out so he has to paint another bunch next week & then has to wait a few days for the paint to dry before packing.
I blows my mind that they told me 3 times it was shipped & it wasnt even painted!! They lost a good customer with 3 Corvette's & some $$$ to burn!!!!

Default problem

Never had a problem. In fact just recieved an order on Friday. I never had a problem with Mid America, Zip or Corvette America. Even when it says in stock on the internet i call to make sure.
Even when i do order when the product is out of stock i ask how long, if it is longer then they say i just cancel. I have never had them bill me until they ship the product.

Default shipping

Don't they give you a shipping # when they ship? If they said they shipped 3 times without giving you a UPS or Fedx shipping # i would say there is something wrong with this picture.
