Hair dryer did not work. I was able to get a corner hold by scraping with a knife but the sticker is plastic, with heat it just stretches to it's breaking point.
The adhesive has evaporated to the point that it's a solid.
Next I am going to poke the sticker full of holes with a pin which shouldn't harm the fabric underneath then soak a release agent through the holes until it disolves the glue. Wish me luck, I may be in the market for a new set of visors before long
I'll never forget those tags on furniture I used to see when I was a kid that read: "DO NOT REMOVE UNDER PENALTY OF LAW"
Never did understand that.
When I was a kid I was sitting on the couch with dad and he ripped one of those pesky tags off. I started crying, so upset because I thought they were going to haul his *** off to jail
On another note I just lightly pulled my stickers and they came right off. Didn't even need a heat gun...but mine's a 98 so those stickers were on their way off anyway.
One day, I started to remove mine, but then thought, I'd like to keep it as original as possible so when it becomes a classic, that'll just be extra fine detail of its originality.
Surely, those stickers will be a thing of the past when those who put them there realiz just how stupid they are--just like those mattress tags.
OK you can remove the and in fact you will love the outcome. I heated mine, slowly...slowly peeled the label off and then used duct tape, dabbing it on the remaining adhesive and got the remainder of it off. Mine is the shale color so you can really notice if you leave some on there. Good Luck
