I just put my new Pilot Sport PS2's on today and WOW they look awesome! I put 315/30/18's on the back and 275/40/17's on the front. The rear tires look mean!!! I haven't got to drive it yet though. It is still at the shop getting an alignment. I can't wait to drive it!! Does anyone know how to properly break in new tires, and what kind of tire presure should I use for normal street use? Thanks!
Slowly release clutch at 5-6 k in 1st or 2nd. That's how I break in all my tires. Post pics please. I'll probably get some ps2s in those sizes when mine go bald.

Do this in first, then immediately transfer left foot to brake pedal.... rince and repeat.
I will take some pictures, but you will have to email me to get them since I don't know how to post pics. I had my car lowered on stock bolts, but today I raised it back up to original height, because I will be shipping the car to Germany next month and I don't want it to bottom out when it is driven onto multiple trucks! My email is hercdriver77@yahoo.com!
Congrats on the new shoes. I just put Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 275/35ZR18 front and 305/30YR19 rear tires on my Z06. The proper tire pressure is 30 psi cold.
.
I have the same shoes on my dirty girl. Viewing the width from the rear is spectacular. When I have the disposable income I plan to have the Lingenfelter mini-tub kit installed so that I can put some 345 or 355s under that big booty.
For the record, it's also interesting to note that the PS2 is considerably lighter than the F1 SC. In the stock sizes, the PS2 is 4 lbs. lighter in the front, and 6 pounds lighter than each rear, at least according to the specs I checked at Tire Rack. That's a huge difference in unsprung weight!
I finally got to drive it last night. I am taken it easy for a few miles. I heard that the tire companys put a oil residue on the tire to preserve them. I was told that you need to break them in so they don't get any uneven wearing! Anyways, I do love them. I never knew that they were lighter than the F1's! I don't think I will ever go with a tire smaller than 305 anymore. The 315 look amazing!
I don't think you need to do burnouts or anything to break in tires. In fact, the less you heat cycle them, the better most likely. Congrats on your new treads.

...I heard that the tire companys put a oil residue on the tire to preserve them...
...it's called cosmaline... and it's slicker than owl poop. The intent is to protect them during shipping/storage. Any advice given about tire wear is false and is simply a perpetuated statement designed to try and keep you from going ten tenths and then crashing and sueing as a result. This is largely the result of the many motorcyclists who shouldn't have been allowed to buy a motorcycle in the first place who slung a bike down the road 3 blocks from the dealership and then litigated in a lame attempt to blame someone else for their own stupidity.
..they're Brunomagli ankle height boots, and they are SUPER soft...and...oh wait...you mean tires...
Seriously though... im not trying to be a smart ***, but if those are SUPER expensive, fine leather shoes... then I wouldn't bother.... they look the same as the $39.99 specials I got at JC Penny... not that its bad, because I think the ones I got at JC Penny look really good, (otherwise I wouldn't have bought them)... but it seems wierd to buy something just for its name and where its made... seems like its a waste of money to me... just my oppinion though.. what do I know

I totally agree. I just don't think my feet, or anyone else will know the difference between a $100.00 pair of shoes and a $500.00 pair of shoes.

Actually the name is not the reason - although it's the reason they are what they are. If you saw them in person you would understand...it's like a high end sports car...every last stitch is absolutely perfect. Both shoes are exactly the same - and I mean you could check them with a magnifying glass and not find one detail different. So from a distance in perfect, they stand out as much as the Armani suits I love so much. It's not that I'm into the name, but there is a reason the name carries such stature - it's SERIOUS high quality. Having said that, I bought those shoes on a sale for $169 - which anyone who knows shoes would tell you is like buying a Z06 for 15k... it's a friggen steal. Also, from a personal stand-point, once you put them on, you will FEEL the difference. You can wear a pair of Brunomagli shoes and stay on your feet all day and come home without the pains associated with a lesser shoe. This is why the guy up there recommended that other brand - even though most people wouldn't know that name, they are carbon fiber suspended over a suspension system - and it's like floating on a cloud. Quality costs money. You want sore feet and cheap looking shoes, buy some Florsheims and look like a door-to-door sales man...me I'll stick with quality and comfort.
