mod or not to mod
if you did not belong to this forum would you mod your vette like you have .I was PM-ing FrankTank and we were laughing how we are never done modding our cars . and I said if we weren't on this forum are cars would be stock and we would be happy people . what do you think by the way just bought a 2800 vig stall and 3:90 gears tranny cooler .should be installed by the middle of july
I think you're right. Without forums such as these, my life would be alot duller, but also cheaper. The Corvette, such as it is these days, is a wonderful high performance car, but the urge to make yours different from the "other guy", even in things only the owner knows about, is stronger in some people. God knows, I don't "NEED" 500+ HP, but the fairly simple ability to get there is tempting, and then there's 600,700 crap, where does it end?
Ah, who the hell cares? As long as the money holds out....

This forum is a killer. You are going to love your stall/gear setup. One of the best mods I have done so far.
On the other hand, I think I am done modding. I have reached a point where I like the looks and performance of my car, and just want to drive it already!

Sacrilege! You're never done modding!
I hear you guys. Without this forum, I wouldn't know about anything I've done or that I'm going to do to my car.
I've done nothing compared to most of you guys. About 2k on my 04 since new. Exhaust, intake, heated seats, insulation, a lot of cosmetic stuff. Probably never would have done any of it without this forum. Come to think of it, somebody owes me two grand!

when i bought my car the z just came out and they were just a little out of my price range . When I bought my car it was almost two years old with 4500 miles on it I saved over 10 Gs buying it used. also I like the coupe with the removable top ........
Mod it, Brother, mod it, I say! And, yes, this forum is the catalyst to a chronic condition of Corvette "moditis".
Mod the hell out of it, I had an F-body before and did not know anything about forums and modded this and then want a real sports car so Vette for me and there is always something to do to my car, I am sick now as I can not stop modding, but I stay out of trouble and have a great time showing my Sick HP modded Vette

I would still mod the car, but I probably would not have heard about a number of the things I have done to the car without places like this forum. I would have just had to run into someone at a show or something and learned about the changes that could be made.
