I am lowering my car..... I will be cutting the front bushings and lowering the rear as far as I can to look right. I am putting in Bilstien sport shocks. Will I need to change the springs? Why or why not?
I would like to get my car as low as possible to get the right look. I just bought 19/20" rims. Is it better to remove the bolts or just cut the 2bushings and leave the 1? If I do remove the front bolt what should I use to protect the spring from rubbing?

Front bolts are in the trash (although I'm not sure it makes much of a difference compared to just cutting off the bushings which I did as well before yanking them) installed longer rear bolts. I "cut to size" a cheap $1.50 ultra thin rubberish doormat to place between the spring and the A-arm, no issues at all, also swapped out the magnetic ride control shocks for Bilstein Sports. You're going to need a slightly stiffer and shorter shock in the rear if you use longer bolts and slam it or you'll bottom out the stops. No rubbing, slight creak every now and then but nothing bad.
What did you put under the spring after you removed the bolts???
Just use a little synthetic grease between the spring and A-arm. Lets the spring slide bad and forth on the A-arm. I also tried cutting 3/4th's of the bushing off and decided I wanted it lower so I took them out and it made the car about a 1/4" lower with them out.
