Default HUD Question

Does anyone know if the polarization filter in the HUD is able to be turned 90 degrees?

My sunglasses are polarized 90deg from the HUD - so I see nothing with them on. If I take them off and rotate them 90 deg it is clear and bright.

The "grain" of the polorization in the HUD lens is there to maximize the anti-glare properties. If you change the lens you will have defeated this and have to deal with ALL the glare from refections and the road.

My suggestion is just to purchase non-polorized glasses.........that's what we all have done.

I've flown with a HUD. The design is carefully thought out

Get some non polarized sunglasses for the Vette.

Thanks for all the responses. I did a little bit of research as to why the sunglasses are polarized the way they are and it is because most of the reflected light that causes glare is horizontally polarized. The HUD is vertically polarized.

Thanks

Just drive with your head tilted 90 degrees then, and you'll be OK.
