Default Spherical shift *****

For those of you who prefer spherical shift *****, what diameter do you prefer......

1.8 inches

2.0 inches or

larger than 2.0 inches.

I hope to come out with a glass-look ball shift **** and was wondering what the majority of C5 owners prefer.

Example of one design (2.1-inch diameter)

Thanks in advance!

Dave

I have a 2" and will be trying out a 2 1/8" **** shortly. The 2" is comfortable but looks a bit small; visually the 2 1/8" is, I think, right on the money. I think it will be comfortable too. 2 1/4" is too big, IMO.

I would if I had them already, but each "master" will cost me hundreds of dollars - thus my question about the "right" size.

Wow - good input! It looks like the 1.8 may well be waaay too small for this crowd! Thanks.

Larger than 2"
Dang, that thing looks huge! What would happen if you didn't have that nut? If there is a shift pattern, that would explain the need to keep the **** oriented correctly. Otherwise, I would think that you can just screw the **** down until it bottoms out.

Default 2 1/2 inch

2 1/2 inch, about the size of a baseball. A bit large, but feels good in my hand. In fact, I've drilled, tapped and painted a baseball and that feels great too.

That's gotta be the largest ball **** I've ever seen! I'm sure there are plenty of 6'4"+ guys out there, but I believe the average height is just under 6'. That probably means that a 2.5-inch shift **** would fit only the upper 20% (guessing). Still, it IS unique!

The size you see in my rendered image in the first post is about 2.2". I'm beginning to think it would be ideal to have both a 2" and a
2.2-2.25".

Hey, I may be able to use them as door *****, as well. That'd be different, especially for a kid's room.

Thanks!
