Where do you mount your Nuvi?
Nuvi 350 ???
the wife bought one about a month ago... and she loves it !
she loaded up a SD memory card with MP3's. Plays them through the car stereo - and interrupts the music when a GPS instruction needs spoken. She also has quite a few JPG's on it as well.
multi-use tool !

Just don't take off to hard, or make sure you don't leve it to close to the edge of the dash or this can happen

It was still covered under my CC protection plan, I just submitted the repair bill and claim forms so I should be getting reimbursed soon.

now get rid of lipstick, newspapers and pets and then you can talk about lowering cockpit distractions

The GPS that have voice directions and speak street names etc, are very good to have, you don't have to look at them and they tell you to keep left, right etc.

I also use the beanbag on a Garmin 2720 like the one above (without the cracked screen option.) If I'm going to do any spirited driving that would make it slide around (it's pretty stable,) I just put it in the pass seat, or have my SO hold it. The best thing is it can be used in any of my vehicles. Right now, I have it in a rental on vacation. Need a restaurant or directions to an attraction; It's right there on the dash.
we were not interested in mp3 capability & the photo storage/viewing capability of the nuvi---ergo we opted for the streetpilot 330. that said, in the vette we either used the suction mount to put it on the glass top or we use the friction mount to put it on the dash. either way, very easily seen & heard. we can't believe how useful the gps device is. bub

I ordered the Nuvi last week. Should be here on Monday. I already have a Garmin GPSMap60Csx for geocaching and while you can use it for on road navigation it doesn't work too well (no voice prompts, small screen). Besides, I love gadgets.

I went ahead and popped for the new Navman ICN 530 last week. I was contemplating a velcro mount right here...

but I've since opted against it. One of the nice features of this one (besides the portability and price!) is that it shows the street numbers as you're driving along the bottom of the screen. Pretty slick. The only hang-up I've got with it is that at the level I prefer listening to my music (and driving a vert), the built-in speaker is limited in its usefulness.
I think I've decided to mount it to a vent clip in front of the center vent, or alternately, velcro it to the top frame between the visors. That's actually a very good spot and not easily seen from outside the car. But only good when the top is up. So the vent mount seems like the best bet for now...

Well...I just got the Nuvi 360 today for $650 shipped....I use mostly my Toyota Matrix, but I am looking at the vent mount...it would work for the Vette.
Google: nuvi 360 vent and you will see the vendor...think it is $25 shipped. My matrix has circular vents, so I am waiting for a reply from the vendor to see if it will work. Looks like the vent mount with the Vette will work.
BTW, I really like this gadget...really good re-calculations, good voice alerts, easy navigation and setup.
