Default Never ever....

Will i buy an aftermarket extended warranty on a used car, paid 1,900 from it and went to take my car to the chevy dealership and they said they have to take it apart to look at the tranny and rear (tranny grinds in 4th) and the rear chatters a little bit. anywase 2 months later i get a call today that they denied fixing it because my clutch caused the problems and the rear end is wear and tear. So now they put 12 hours into it just to take it apart at 99 bucks an hour also tomorrow i will be charged 25 dollars a day for a lift fee so now i have to cancel my warranty to pay them back and then call a flat bed to towe it to my house and work in it like i should of did way before. Sorry about the rant but man do i hate the stealership and aftermarket warrantys! But the good news is i purchased a ls7 clutch and should be here this week also i will be buying alot of parts here

EXACTLY anywase it was grinding 4th way before the clutch started slipping but i was told to wait until you need a new clutch to take it in since the tranny will be out of the car and i can get a deal on the clutch job but i have had it talking to the hindu guy that gets paid 3 bucks an hour in another country.

These subhuman scumbags did pretty much the exact same thing to me a few years back on my Trans Am. They even refused to pay for the disassembly needed to isolate the fault. They blamed me for doing something or other to 5th. How in the h3ll can you ruin 5th, but not the lower gears? Anyways, I got signed statements from a couple GM mechanics stating that it would be virtually impossible for me to have caused the problem. The result - 3k plus, out of my own pocket.

well since im only 18 i got my dad togo back with me and he gave me hell.. nothing really the chevy dealership can do besides rape me in the *** on labor but im stuck at 1,500 just for labor to take everything apart and im hoping i can get my money back from the warranty company or my car will be in peices for along time. The warranty was reccomended by the same guy that scammed me on the car that he said was in perfect condition.. car only has 47k miles and i barely put 3k on it. Anyone else had this happen to them? what did you do?

I can tell you where you're REALLY screwing up. It's not telling us what warranty company this is.

Basically you're having all these problems and still leaving the road open to others to have the same problems, until you inform us of who is doing this. Please inform the community. If you ask for our help, atleast reciprocate and help us by letting us know what company is pulling this.

I would contact an attorney if this company is nationally known. This sounds a little too convenient. Just think the $$$$ they could be making if they denied most of the claims that are submitted. I would also call the better business bureau.
Just my .02
Good luck and don't give up on this one.

Hold on now... before you throw the warranty company under the bus, be sure to tell the rest of the story. I remember seeing your earlier posts about buying the car from some dealer in New England, having it shipped, and then finding out the car had ALL KINDS of things wrong with it that the dealer mislead you on. So I think it's fair to assume the car had a troubled history or received a lot of hard use/abuse/neglect before you got it. So maybe, just maybe the warranty company is making a legit call here. I sympathize with you, but be fair.

Earlier thread on this car: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1407020

Was that a GM dealership,, what a bunch of ,, ask to speak to the owner of that dealership ask him what kind of shop he's running. First never by an aftermarket warranty, they very seldom benefit the buyer. and usually have a deductable ( for each repair ). Use that $$$ for the warranty for your first repair ,, When I bought one of my cars it came with zero warranty,, guess what after the 1st week I started having major problems with the car, $2000 worth of repairs all covered after speaking to the general manager. Be nice but be agressive, good luck !!

I agree, i do not have the name on hand of the warranty company but will post it later tonight. The car grinds 4th sometimes then it just got worse driving it then the collum locked and could feel my clutch slipping (wich btw the dealership told me was not the clutch that came with the car) and the last owner only put 100 miles on the car so im guessing she knew something had to be up and gave it to her friend at a small used dealership to sell. And also they said the rear was a wear and tear item wich is not so my old man will be calling them bright and early and he said he will get his attorney.

This car has gave me trouble since day 1 and im really thinking of just selling it as since i already lost so much money into it.

Yea if their is a next time im going to buy a chevy warranty but the small dealership i got the car from was really reccomending a warranty so im sure he knew something was up.. I just wish i let this one go and got one out here or from another forum member. I am hoping they will cover it once an attorney talks to them or hopefully i can get a full refund and do everything in the garage. My first car that i am paying for turned into my worse car.

I'd be fighting that one - see if they have any arbitration for disputes.
