Default Escort Direct Wire ???

I have a 2000 coupe with standard rear view- I also have a direct wire cable I bought for my 97 C5 when I had it...can I use this two wire cable on my 2000? if so, what wires do I need to tap into on the rear view mirror?

Thanks!

I assume you mean the directwire from Escort.

I hardwired my Passport 8500 with the Escort directwire. Mounted the unit to the windshield and ran the wire under the windshieldmoulding, down the a-pillar and used the accessory power outlet in the footwell. I actually mounted the Escort remote with the button first... velcroed it to the console next to my leg, then ran the wire under the console, under the carpet to the passenger footwell... then went up the a-pillar. Nice being able to silence the detector with a push of a button on the remote.

No- its not from Escort- its a direct wire made by a member here who was selling them...I bought it for my 97 with the "non-Dimming" rear view...my 2000 has the same mirror but it looks like the wiring may be different (colors etc...)

Thanks!
