You have them on a Vette! There is nothing to be embarassed about. Some people like things modded and some like things stock. To each his own. Who cares what other people think? Thell them to bite you. It is what you think that counts
My 97 came with them. They are not my favorite wheel design, but they kind of grow on you.I bought the decal kit from a forum member and the difference they made was remarkable. I kind of like them now. Chuck.

Wheels make or break the overall appearance of a car. Probably the single biggest impact visually for me, on any car is the wheels. How they fill the fenders, how they look parked, and how they look being driven.
Wagons tend to look good on certain colors (black/red/some blues) while being driven, but IMO (again) they lose quite alot of appeal when stationary.
Don't know if its the divots at the end of each spoke, or the knobby centercap, but they are lacking somewhere.
If you like them, then great! Otherwise don't feel bad about wanting to change them. Many of us do.
Keep your wagon wheels. They're part of the Corvette heritage! Just update them with vinyl decals.
Looks good on paint or chrome. Highest quality vinyl decals create the illusion of a split spoke. Looks good up close as the vinyl is so thin, 2 mil, they appear to be painted. They are matte black which further promotes the illusion.
A non-destructive mod which gives you the most "bang for your buck."
I have wagon wheels on my 98. You could put 2010 wheels on your car, but that won't change what it is. So instead, embrace what you have, love it, nurture it...and save for a new set of wheels!

I had them for a little over two years - first the OEM painted ones, and later a set of chrome ones. My wife loved those wheels and I actually received a lot of compliments on the chrome ones.
There is nothing wrong with them - they are strong and durable, they are OEM, and if you like them, that's all that matters. Buying the Z06 wheels or any of the replicas, or a set of thin spokes will make your car look like about 80% of the other C5's out in the world.....IMHO of course.
I have since gotten something a little different, I was ready for a newer look. Save your money until you find a wheel that you REALLY like and then make the change.
I have Wagon Wheels....NOT chrome I don't like them BUT I have to agree it does set the car apart from the others and folks can tell if it's me on the road or another Silver C5! I'm thinking about getting chrome but will keep the Wagon Wheel style.
I'm a wagon wheel hater..Couldn't wait to get rid of them on my 99. I think they ruined the beautiy of the C5...After I put on my polished Y2k's I fell in love with the car all over again...
