Car runs great 98 c5 vert
But when I come to a stop and I kind of slam the gas a little to rev it up ---it bogs down like something is clogged up So I start by taking the cat back off (B&B Bullets) still did it. So then I take the cat's out nothing wrong running straight headers --Still does it
Any suggestions
Thanks

Sounds more like a fuel problem, possibily the fuel pump. What makes you think it's the exhaust?
Also, this is going to sound really stupid but I know someone this happened to, check to make sure the intake is clear (and clean). A friend of mine had a plastic grocery bag sucked up and covered the intake. LOL

Because it started at a sound off contest Drove around the block and it was fine (even reving it up while I was moving) but when I pulled back in for the sound off and put it in park and punched it --nope sounded clogged --everyone said it was the cats! Black wing is clear

Here's what I would check.. in order.
1. the air intake system BEFORE and AFTER the maf. If it is loose, the maf won't sense the correct amount of air coming in and mess up like you've described.
2. Fuel filter. Unlikely to happen 'all at once' but would also cause effects like described.
I HIGHLY doubt it is the cat. They do clog up, but slowly and usually only if you've put TONS of crap in your gas or run LEADED fuel. If you've done one/both, then MAYBE it is getting clogged.

Took the bridge "off" and coupler--running throttle body only....AND
Still bogs when i come to a stop and floor it very quickly!(neautral of course)
Weird i can be rolling to a stop and punch the pedal and it's fine --it's only when i come to a stop!@#@%#$%
Any other suggestions
TIA

Drop your britches and check your DIC, see if you are throwing any codes. It sounds like it's running too rich.... BUT could be a gazillon other things as well.
You probably checked the air filter already.
but that sounds like what happen to my car. I had done the "zip tie mod", and had sucked enough water into the filter that it would bog down upon acelleration. ran fine otherwise

There is no filter or bridge or anything hooked up!--Thats whats weird

Haha this is funny. When I first took my car out with my B&B exhaust installed it did that exact same thing. I was worried that i did something wrong or my car was f***ed up. I just ignored it and it went away after about a month. When I saw this post I thought it was funny becuase I completely forgot about the problem and just remembered it. I really dont know why it does that though.

?
What exactly was your's doing?
This had nothing to do with the cat back as of now. We just started with that 1st
Got the car back yesterday!!
Heres the skinny of it!!
Nobody had a clue what the problem was--not on this site or CF. Reese called me yesterday about lunch time and told me he had put several hours in this doing multiple test. And it all boiled down to it be a "traction control" issue... the 97's and 98's are notorious for this he explained. anyway the traction control will need a little work in the future but as of now if I want to enter another sound off I can disable TC and it is fine :greengrin :oyea
I do appreciate MTI's (ATL)promptness and most of all "NO CHARGE"
:oyea
