First that I have heard of this. However, the Electrochromic Mirrors option (RPOs DD0/DD8) is only for the outside driver's and inside review mirrors. So I would not think this would be the cause of the problem for your outside passenger mirror. Good luck with the problem.
The problem is with the driver's door outside mirror.
Then the Electrochromic Mirrors option could be the problem. How and to what color has the mirror changed? When the Electrochromic Mirrors feature is on and working properly, they will have a greenish tint or cast at night. Is this what you're seeing?

My driver side has changed colour and was looking weird.
On the driver side there is a film over the mirror and water somehow got between the film and mirror itself.
The driver door mirror is kind of amber colored all the time. It also has a small clear or normal part of the mirror at the top. I can see out of it, but it is not as it was.

This is the exact same thing with my drivers side mirror.
Try push on the amber area and see if the move if so there is water behind the film.
I took the Corvette to the Chevy dealership...... They are trying to cover it under the Major Guard Coverage....... but the coverage does not include glass. It will include the mirror,if it is an electrical problem or fault. I take it back next week for a Tech to check it out. I hope for the best. The mirror "glass" is $330.00, plus labor.
I would be interested to know what the problem is. I have the same tint to my driver's side mirror as well. It was like that when I bought the car used. I think it has something to do with the auto dim feature on the mirror.
I have the same problem here. Those of you who have had this before, what did you all end up doing to fix it? Is there an "easy" fix or is a replace the only course of action?
I have Major Guard Coverage and it paid for the replacement of the mirror "glass" which would not change from night to day. About 10 - 12 days after the replacement, the memory part of the mirror did not work correctly. I went back to Southern Chevrolet in Foley, AL and they contacted GM and the complete mirror was replaced. It came as a new unit and had to be painted, before it was installed. I only paid one deductible. The mirror "glass" was $330 and the complete mirror was something over $400..... both plus labor. I was pleased to pay my $100.
