While I was at work today I parked my vette in front of our building so I could keep a close eye on her. I came out to check her out and some old guy with white hair was leaning on it while talking on his cell phone like it was his car! It's MY car I I dont even lean all over it! Obviously he must've been distracted on his phone to realize he was all over the vette. Initially, I was very angry and was about to yell at him , but instead I kept my cool and pressed the "panic" button on my fob and he jumped off. I then went out to see if he left any scratches, but I couldn't find any, but man, no respect! ok, had to vent....have a great day!

Don't you just hate it when people get so absent minded that they forget what they are doing. Nice that you kept your cool, but wonder how many years you took off his life when you pressed the panic button.

I had that happen one time when i took my car into the dealer for an oil change some guy waiting to be written up for service on his car decide to lean against my car and i told him hey you get off my car he moved very fast gave me a funny look but i didn't care it was my car and not his and he had no right to be leaning on someone elses property.
I understand... I had my car in a car show not too long ago, and I could not understand WHY, people would lean in the car and start touching everything... Most of the people were very respectful, but them damn kids... they would lean all over the car, touch everything they could. Where the hell were their parents? I hate it when children have parents that don't watch, or teach them how to act in public. I don't blame the kids, I blame the ****ty parents....

You handled it well - I know I wouldn't have done that good! Most people are just plain Stupid!!! When I'm at a car show, and people touch or get too close, I yell at them!!!

wouldn't it be better if you did not leave your windows open when you went to shows.I have not put my car in any shows myself due to rain the three times i was going to do that but i asked someone if i should leave my windows up or down when i was going to go and they told me to leave them up.

An electrified car would be nice, say 20,000 volts.
I can sympathize with you on this one. I left mine parked in a lot today(we all meet at one spot and take a van to work. Saves wear and tear on the vette, plus mileage) and just got a new cover from West Coast Corvettes. Hope it's still on the car when I get back!
