Default Which Shows Dirt

I have a torch red C5 coupe with red floormats. Thinking of replacing them with black mats with the "flag" logo. The driver's side red mat looks dirty, even after I've vacuumed and applyed carpet cleaner to it. Wonder if the black ones wouldn't show the dirt quite as much? Any ideas, guys?

My black mats don't give me any trouble. I am constantly cleaning them though and vacuuming. The C5 logo looks great on them too! Good luck.

My Lloyds mats are black with the logo. After a few weeks use the pile tends to flatten. A quick vacuum and they look good as new.

Default Got 'Em Coming

Thanks, DG. Just ordered a set from West Coast: Black Lloyds with the silver logo. Should look good. The stock red driver's mat, which has a plastic piece built in at the front, looks crappy, no matter how many times I've tried to clean it. Thanks you guys for all your input. Have a good work week.

Buy a can of Scotch Guard at the grocery store. Soak them down and let dry overnight. The mats will be easy to clean and the logos will stay clean and new looking.

Yep...black is the color to get...and while you are at it ... cut out your fog light shrouds and put some OEM Z06 screens in for some more air to the engine compartment...its an easy mod(call Bob at Fichtner Chevy for the screens)

Just an idea... You may want to consider picking up some mat protectors that several of the vendors sell. They only run about $30 a set and will keep your mats looking better longer. They're clear plastic with the anti-slip points on the underside. For that matter, one may be able to pick up some of that same material up at say a hardware, flooring or office supply store make their own too. fwiw. I took a razor and cut off the little points around the outside perimeter as well as the area of embroidery so to keep them from unraveling the embroidery/piping. I just leave mine on all the time. Good luck.
