I would like to buy a car cover for use in my garage, mostly to keep the dust off the car. What would you recommend? Looking for one that is economical, not cheap. Thanks for any advise.
CALIFORNIA CAR COVER COMPANY, or the equivalent from a vendor with good car covers like "Noah", "Stormweave", "Superweave", "Multiweave", "Softtop", "Dusttop", "Plushweave" "Customweave", it's all very confusing.
If your paint is in nice shape and you want to pamper the car, don't skimp on a car cover. I just bought a "Customweave" in Bright Blue for more money than I thought I'd spend for a car cover, but it's a new material that is dust resistant (my primary need), water resistant and soft to the finish. A big plus was that it is the only cover which can be washed/dryed in a home laundry room.

Where did you buy your cover from? And is it soft on the side that touches the cars surface?I am looking for a cover also.Hopefully it is not from Eckler's.

I ordered a Cover from Zip products and I am very satisfied. It is an inside cover part # cc-86 $139.95. Fits well and has c5 logo to help with installation. I like the light weight and less bulk.

I just got it from CALIFORNIA CAR COVER COMPANY. It's called the "Superweave". I was a bit hesitant since it doesn't have the typical flannel on the underside. It has not caused any scratches yet with several cover/removals. It has "NEXTEC" technology. Do an internet search and you'll find lots of information on this encapsulating process. I guess the throught process is it doesn't have the ability to trap dust/particulates on the underside. This is from their website...
Now available in 8 new colors. Choose from black, bright blue, sky blue, green, grey, red, taupe and yellow. You can also mix-and-match any two fabric colors to customize your cover, with the top panel in one color and the side panels in the second color. Superweave features a variety of benefits, including unsurpassed moisture and pollutant/dust protection. Additionally, it's exceptionally breathable, allowing moisture and heat to escape. Considered to be one of our top-of-the-line car cover fabrics. It is the only material that can be washed and dried in your home machines. It features a limited four-year warranty.
Scratch-less - Polymers provide a silky smooth finish to the fabric and provide superior paint protection. Nextec fabric has been tested at 1,000 cycles on abrasion wheels without scratching (surface must be clean and waxed).
There is a particular manner in which you should remove and install any car cover. I did it wrong for years and everyone I've seen use a car cover does it wrong. Never remove a car cover and fold the (top) dirty side onto the (bottom) clean side.

Personally, I've never had a problem with Ecklers and I've been buying from them for years. Throughout the years of visiting and posting on this forum, I have seen complaints about just about every Corvette parts vendor there ever was. Certainly, these vendors go through periods when their hired personnel are less than perfect, but overall, most have a decent track record.
IMO, Ecklers is no different.
