Thinking of purchasing a set of LTs shortly after the new year and having them installed with a custom tune; my winter project. I was almost sold on getting a set of LG Street Headers but then I saw a guy at a local cruise-in a couple weeks ago with a C6 setup with Melrose LTs that were jethot coated. They looked great and better yet sounded awesome. Are the underhood temps something I need to be concerned about with stainless? How do the jethot coated headers hold up over time? Interested in any opinions.
I just ordered Jet-Hot coatings for my new LT's. If you Google Jet Hot you'll find their website. Had a friend of mine who has a pair of '62's and an '85 tell me "I HAD" to get the coatings. Many guys on here have had good luck with extending longevity of the SS. But unless you're in a 'salty' environment, that should not be an issue. Keeping engine compartment temps down only come into play if you are racing or use an underhood air inlet. There are improvements to be had by smoothing the interior surfaces of the pipes, which a ceramic coating will do.

Thanks for the info. What LTs did you purchase and did you have the vendor ship them direct to Jet Hot for coating or did you buy them from Jet Hot?
