Did the same with Halltech intake...these smog testers aren't too
familiar with the C5s.
This smog tester sees the mods alright. I just think that should stay between you and me as long as it’s clean out the tips LOL. And guys don’t worry too much about your car on a smog dyno. We are only taking it up to 15 then 25 MPH with low loads. Nothing like a Chassis dyno where your putting hundreds of HP to the rollers.
Those are great numbers, but you DID luck-out. I've read a few posts where Blackwings and Vararams were spotted and the visual test was subsequently failed because of it. I plan to remove my Halltech and use the time to clean and oil it while my Z06 box goes to the smog test.
I hate having to go back just because of an intake, but hey, it is a convenient time to do a thorough cleaning of the whole setup, anyway.
Since I bought my C5 from a Chevt dealership located out of state, I had to have it smogged here in San Diego. Of course, with only about 50 miles on it, it passed with flying colors.
