Just noticed this today while exiting the freeway, that my right blinker is blinking double time. Don't know why.....I checked my headlamps, they are working, (both bright and low beam) checked my rear tail lamps, they are working. Can anyone explain what my car is trying to tell me?
You said nothing about checking the turn signal light. I know on my Chevy truck what you are having always happens when the turn signal filament is burned out.

why would you check the head lights and tail lights if your blinker was blinking fast? you probably will need some of that blinker fluid..

And to answer the next question
Turn on the headlights and back off one position to kill the lights.
Unscrew the 3 small screws on the black plastic housing around the headlight. Gently pull the housing clear. Reach down around the headlight unit and release the bulb holder. It unscrews counter clockwise but it has a plastic clip which you need to squeeze to release it. Change the bulb. Reseat the bulb holder and turn until it clicks back in place. Put the plastic housing back in place making sure to locate the small plastic tab in the bracket on the headlamp cover. Replace the 3 screws and close the lights.
10 minute job.

Leave it to an Englishman to be the gentleman here, and not a smarty pants with no solution. I'll fix it tonight.
There are those of us (such as me) who have not owned a C5 that long and have never run into the problem in the first place in order to know the solution. Sounds like a no brainer fix to me. Thanks DeeGee!

Not to be a jerk, but this isn't a "C5" isolated problem. This is basic automotive diagnostics and apply to all cars. How old are you? That may be why you don't know the basics.
I'm 41 and was lucky enough to have a Dad that mad me change my own oil, and take a shot at fixing my own problems before calling in a mechanic. I bitched and moaned when I had to do it, but today I'm glad he did it. Saved me a ton of $$$ over the years and allows me to speak with mechanics/service techs intelligently.
Basically what I'm telling you is don't take the ribbing to heart, these guys are just having a little fun. And it DeeGee hadn't posted a nicely detailed solution, more then likely one of the "smarty pants" would have.
