Chicagoland Corvette Owners!!

I am looking for a reputable mechanic or shop that knows C5's in the Chicago area. Who do you trust and who have you had a good experience with?

I use LS-1 speed in Schaumburg. They are a reputable shop. Larry is very customer care oriented, and they do great work.

Three or four of us from Iowa drive over 250 miles one way to get to FLP for work. Dan is part owner and is the only tuner I would let touch my program or motor.

If you are looking for just keeping your c5 up and running great check out my father's shop in the Suburbs of Chicago. (I'm in St Louis, the gypsy of the family). He has owned a 63 vert, 68 L89 vert, 81 coupe and now has a 2004 Triple black vert. He's been doing auto repair since the 60's and got me and my brother into vettes... now we cruise together when I head up there. He's not into the mods stuff so if you are looking for a place to do a supercharger or big mods he will probably pass. Anything else he can do without a problem. His location is in the west suburbs - Glen Ellyn. Lord's Auto located on Pennsylvania in downtown Glen Ellyn across from the Glen Ellyn clinic.
