I have a 2002 Corvette. I have NEVER had any problem out of it..then my AFTERMARKET underdrive pulley separated, so I took it to dealership and they replaced with factory and I sent defective one off...I will NOT say their name UNLESS they refuse to replace a pulley with UNDER 7000 miles on it...since that day in the shop if my car sits still for about 20-30 minutes running the coolent temp will go all the way to 253 degrees and at this point I turn car off (it may keep climbing in temp)...so i replaced thermostat and had coolent flushed and filled.....well, guess what it IS STILL running hot?????
well why would you let them replace it with a stock pulley if you had an aftermarket...?? sounds like you had some other things adjusted to go with the pulley hence you are having issues...

this is my daily driver and I didn't have a choice since the pulley was SEPARATED!!!! the company is suppose to be sending me a replacement....if they don't I will spread their awful customer service all over all boards, especially since only about 7000 miles on pulley!!!! but so far they have been nice....
It sounds like the water pump isn't turning! Did the belt get installed properly? Did the adjustment to fit the underdrive pulley cause the belt to be loose over the water pump pulley?
