[Z06] Why are these headers so cheap?

Default Why are these headers so cheap?

They claim to be stainless. They claim (key word) to be top quality...


yet, they are $300???

How are the stock mid pipes supposed to attach to those>???

They may very well be a good deal, but you're not going to get away with using those unless you have some custom piping and work done to attach everything cleanly. And, thought it might seem obvious, if you have any fitment issues, you're out the money straight up since no one is going to stand behind those.

you cant. Need custom exhaust though out.


Headers are not that expesive to make, but profitable for the venders, hense the thousand dollar price tag

There are only $200 or so in materials to make headers. Everyone making LS7 headers adds on the $1000 corvette tax so far. Hopefully soon some competition will come into the market and make good headers for $500 like every other engine has available.

I completely agree with you. I've got a street rod with a 350 Chevy motor, the usual standard engine, except my rod is a Chevy. Anyway, I've purchased stainless steel jet-hot coated equal length 4-1 headers with collectors for under $500.- from one of the best street rod header manufacturers. I can't imagine their volume of manufacturing is greater than Vette headers. I think maybe I need to suggest they get into a new market.
