I have a 2000 convertible and was wanting a roll-bar for it, preferably a kit that I can install myself; however im not racing it, rather just want to be safe (I don't want to put those cheap chrome hoops on it)... Can anyone help!!!
Mike
Cant help but the party line is that the windscreen acts as a roll bar and should be enough protection for anything but the track. Guess it depends how fast you plan to take it and how often.
Although I can't speak from personal experience, I have heard from several people that it is very hard to meet those standards in a vert if you intend for the top to still work.
It's a bit of a haul for you, but MTI Racing (MTIracing.com) Marietta, Georgia did the removable bolt-in 4 pt for my 04 convertible. Great workmanship!
If you're not doing it to track the car, don't buy Wolfe's setup. It limits seat travel too much IMHO. Contact Jason and see what he can do for you. He's very talented and I'm pretty sure he never sleeps.

If you're not racing it I'd recommend against a rollbar. A rollbar is designed to be used with a helmet and a harness. Without a helmet and harness your head may be bouncing on and off the rollbar in an accident and you'll actually be worse off with it than you would have been without it.
