Does anyone remember the guy who spent like 100 grand modifying a C5 like a year ago, all on credit cards, then had to sell the car on ebay? The mods were shown in progress on the forum, step by step. As soon as he fininshed it, he had to sell it. I believe the car was orange; he was having trouble getting enough money. I have often wonder what happened to the car...

Yeah I remember, I think he did sell the car and he is probably still broke like me! Okay, I am not that broke.
I believe you're referring to Jon Pine (Xceler8). He had a 600rwhp MTI Forged 347 F1C Superchargered Tiger Shark 97 C5 coupe that he sold and bought a 1968 Blown Camaro which I think he promptly sold.

He posted in a thread not too long ago...he still hangs around from time to time. I recall that he did sell the Vette and bought a Camaro, just like Patches said.
Bought a LPE "383" 1985 Corvette with a Custom paint job
I bought and sold Blown 68 Camaro
Bought and sold 04 Lexus GS300
Just bought 06 GTO close to the color of my C5. Brazen Orange Met. @ 0% intrest
I still lurk around. I did spend a ton of money on my last set of mods on CC but not all of it on CC. The car was/is truely amazing. MTI didnt do the pulleys right so I had to sent it to Mike Norris to finish it before I sent the car to the new owner. When you saw the car on the dyno clip it did not have exhaust and was getting tuned.
The above post is correct about my cars, I am now out of debt and also bought a piece of property. Moving on with my life but also trying to save money to buy back my old C5. The new owner in MT and I made an agreement to let me buy it back for the same price he paid as it sits in his meusem. The car is a piece of art work to me as well as a piece of me.
Interesting, thanks for the update. I hope you are able to get the car back one day. Is it correct to say the new owner is not driving it, since you say it is in a museum? If so, where can it be seen these days.

Its his personal collection but does have a seperate buidling for them. Model A, Ts, Diablos, Murc, Ferrari's, and others. Not a ton of cars I think he has around 18 or so. He does drive it every now and then. Which is good for the car. He said out of his entire collection this one turns the most heads...=)

Hey Jon, good to hear from you. I thought about you the other day when I was driving up to Denver and got passed by a Ford F650 friggin MONSTER TRUCK! I remembered that you were considering getting one as your new toy way back when. Man that thing was HUGE in person!! Anyway, take care.
