I order some rims from a dealer on this forum(I don't want to say who it is.)14 weeks ago. He told me it would be 4/6 weeks. So I call the guy to ask him what is going on with the rims and he doesn't have any answers to when they will arrive. So I said ok call me when you know something. Well weeks go by and I don't recieve any phone calls. So I call him again and(we are at week 10 at this point) and he still knows nothing. I say again call me back. A few days pass and he findly calls me back and said it's going to be another month. I decide ok but they have to be here by Aug.,1st , he's says ok and I will call you if there is a problem. Well as you know Aug.,1st is Tuesday and I haven't recieve any phone calls (but that's not surprising)and I would be shocked if the rims show up. I need some advice on what you guys or gals would do at this point? Thank you, Dave

If you gotta have those rims, be patient. If you gotta have any rims, call the dealer and find out what you options are. Do they have any simular rims they can ship now? If they don't have any you want and can't get the original ones, cancel the order and buy something else somewhere else.
Vendors should have a somewhat good idea of when parts will be available. If he quoted you a month and it's been two... start blasting their name all over the forum. His number one priority should be you, the customer.
Nearly 4 months for rims is a long time. My biggest concern here is the shops follow through. Forcing the customer to initiate contact due to not delivering the product in the estimated time is never good customer service. I'm sure you'll get them soon. Good Luck
are they custom or can you get them anywhere? If I treated my customers in my business like that, I sure wouldn't expect to be in business for too long
If he quoted you 4-6 weeks and it's been 14 weeks I think I would have demanded a refund a LONG time ago and found a different product & vendor...there's tons of wheel designs out there. No excuse for that type of customer service....seems like you've already bent over backwards for him, not the other way around.
Maybe it’s just me, but I would cancel the order and move on. If you got money in the deal, get it back NOW. Go after your second choice or start looking from scratch again. You’ll find something you like better
Did you use paypal or your credit card?
Either way you should have recourse through buyer protection [non-delivery].
If you paid by USPS money order, you should still have the receipt.
Look up on line if it was cashed and when, then file with the USPS for mail fraud.
14 weeks is BS.
I can deal with a lot of delays if I know the person is taking the initiative of staying in touch and explaining the delays.
JMHO
Good luck and after 14 weeks it is time to put their info out to save others from this hassle.
businesses go in the financial sh!tter all the time. if it's been this long & no goods, i'd strongly suggest that you step up & go to bat for yourself & part company with this potentially fraudulent vendor asap. someone said a long time ago that 'a fool & his money are easily parted'. bub
I was told mine would be on my car within 45 days, 16 weeks and about a 1000 emails and phone calls later I finally got them . I'm NOT a patient person but I wanted these specific wheels THAT BADLY, so I waited.
Like the other guy said, If they are IForged then it's a roll of the dice, some guys get them within a few weeks, others (like me) wait until hell freezes over.
You are now of the mind that "well....I've waited this long...what's a little longer". I was there too....
