I found that info not so helpful, the pictures were to small and it was kind of confusing. I also wanted to know how to wire into the mirror which is not included. I would like to know how to fab a bracket to screw to the visor panel.
This method is really not as hard as it looks, it took me about 15 minutes including hiding the wires in the A pillar and windshield. Another bonus is that the detector turns on and off with the car, unlike the "always hot" mirror wires. It's convienent and leaves you off to do other things, like talking on your cell phone while taking a sip of your coffee and trying to get out your CAGS through an intersection with a cop up ahead!
I just installed an Invisicord on my '02. It is the fastest and easiest way ever to hardwire a Valentine One. Took five minutes at the most. It was so good I just ordered 2 more for "just in case" or for my other cars. check it out! http://customautocenter.com/modvette...ck-Connect.htm

This was my first mod, moving my V1 from old to new vehicle. Gotta love those wide gaps GM has between the plastic panels and metal for stringing the wire...
My first mod too... It was very easy but the instructions in the faq were confusing since the pictures were out of place with the instructions and what I said before.
I just got putting mine in. I followed the instructions of putting a screw in the bottom of the silver metal box for the ground. Had to drill into the plastic to get the screw in. Also my plastics near the window were very tight, but I finally got the cable secured. The cable and direct wire adapter were perfect...like they were made for my car
I still need to fab up a bracket to screw to the visor mount, but I haven't found the measurements online yet. I guess I will just have to figure it out myself.
I have a C6 with a Val1. The best and easiest install is using the Great
Lakes Trophy rearview mirror mount $30.00 for the C5 and C6 and using that 8" Invisicord $14.00 for the Val1. Fits right under the mirror using their bracket (which sticks to the back of the mirror) and then attaching to the bracket that comes with the Val1. Beats suction cups and visor mounts by a long shot. Then hook up the Invisicord from the Val1 to the back of the mirror wiring.

This is what I have and think it's great. But you have to have the electro chromatic (sic?) mirror for power, which I don't know if he'll have for that year? If you have it, I definitely recommend this way.
According to Invisicord, his power cord works with the C5 & C6 autodim mirrors and the C5 & C6 standard mirrors both of which have the power +12V pins.

Can I ask which wires you used to hard wire on the mirror?
If you have the C6 autodim mirror, the hot on the mirror plug is the middle pink on the lower row and the ground is black on the upper row. If its the standard mirror without autodim the hot is the orange wire in the upper row and ground is the same black wire in the upper row. Got this from the Invisicord
