When getting a clutch replaced, is it usually common to replace the slave cylinder as well? I just had an LS7 clutch installed about a month or so ago and the slave went out on Thursday. Now they have to drop the tranny out again and charge me for 5 hours of labor at $75 an hour. Am I getting screwed here or is this legit?
*edit* it's an 02 by the way.

sucks bro but yeah you have to change the slave when you do a clutch swap but not the master because you can get to that when the tranny is still in. I just got my ls7 clutch but never put it in how do you like it? how many miles do you have on it? how much power are you making? and buy a slave from fred and beans to the left i think they are 105. i still need to order my bearings.

well call some friends over that know how to turn a wrench and provide the beer because it will suck when a 100 dollar part is going to cost you over 500 bucks
The guy working on my car says that 01's and up don't need new slaves. He says only 97-00 cars need new slaves as they were defective. Anyone know if this is actually the case, or am I being spoonfed corn-filled poo?
