Has anyone ever pulled a code after you installed the CAGS eliminater? I just pulled P0803 and the dealership was the one who installed it!!
Nope no codes here! I installed mine with the battery disconnected as with anything electrical in these cars. As stated in other threads that this car needs to relearn any changes within the system.
I got the code again after resetting it. Once my 1 to 4 shift light lit up, the check engine light came on. Is it reasonable to ask the stealership for a reimbursement for the hour drive to them from before and after and a knock off of the hour they definitely added on for a 5 min change while they were fixing another screw up they did with my belt. I was going to give them a second chance but when do I start getting results.
Where do you live that the dealership is an hour away? Good luck getting any dealership to reimburse you for your time!! I think it is about time you find a new dealership to have your car serviced!
My 1-4 shift light came on once and only once after I bought it. Ever since then I shift like the car is suppose to be shifted and the light never comes on anymore.
I dont think ive shifted at anything under 4K in 1st since then.

I was away at the time of a belt ripping and Had to go to the closest dealer with the part in stock so I could get home that same day. From then on I had to go back to them for repair on something they messed up on and missed.

Hmmmm, To tell you the truth I didn't even bother to disconnect the battery. I figured something as simple as disconnecting a wire and reconnecting while the car was off is no big deal. My car must be a quick learner.
I unplugged the wire, snapped on the cap and the CAGS dis-abler, wire-tie to the transmission, and vola, done in about 1 minute flat. That is of course after I spent a half an hour trying to install it on the wrong harness..
I didn't disconnect the battery when I installed a CAGS a few weeks ago. I didn't use the plastic wire provided though. I wanted the CAGS to be isolated from the hot transmission. Some have complained the heat can melt the plastic CAGS housing.
I used a rubber insulated ADEL clamp and a 1/4-20 allen bolt to secure it to the same transmission mounting ear.
Possibly, you CAGS has suffered the effects of heat or simply disconnected?
