first host your picture on a hosting site, like photo bucket for example, then copy and paste the image thing [img] or put the adress of the photo in the text box that pops up when you click the little mountain icon above

Yes. The Help Forum is the place you need to go for all your general Forum usage and "how-to" questions. You should find a number of discussion threads there on posting pics. Be sure to see the ones in the sticky threads toward the very top of the Help Forum. Should you need further assistance after reviewing these, post there and someone should be along to help you.
