It was installed by the dealer on my car. I had to pay for it. TRULY needed or not? Without it, am I going to get the service column lock message?

My local Dealership installed the Harness K in my 6 spd car under the recall notice. Thought I would not have a problem until it left me stranded in the garage! I found it under the dash, removed it, then plugged the wires back together as it was from the factory. Guess what, the car started up and drove perfectly. I now have a CLB from Thunder Racing.
