Default CLB install is causing the "Pull Key" error

OK, I am officially confused

My 99 had not had any steering colum issues since I bought it four months ago. But after reading all the horror stories on the Forum I bought a CLB from CoH and installed it as directed.
At first start up it died and threw the "Pull Key" error. I did so and all seemed well. A week later it happened again. So it seems the CLB is triggering these errors that I had not seen before.

Should I pull the CLB ?

Dealer repair history follows:

This is not so unusual. I installed my CLB 2 years ago, and I got the message today. I turned off engine waited 10 seconds and no message. this is about the 10th time. I am not worried about this because it will always go away after the wait and you will never walk home .

no worries....Sounds like cl module lost sync with the bcm

1. turn car on on position. (do not start)
2. open fuse panel in passenger side floor board.
3. pull fuse #23 (BCM) wait 10 sec
4. re-install fuse
5. pull key out for 10 sec
6. restart car.
