I went into the dealership to try to compare prices on the GMPP extended warranty from my dealership in MS vs Fitchner's price.
I have a 2004 convertible that is under warranty until January of '07The guy I talked to said I can get a warranty from Fidelity Warranty Services from JM&A Group in Deerfield Beach, FL.
He said the warranty is better than Gmpp.According to him, the waranty will be good for 6 years or 100,000 miles. The money is not bad- 260 down 128/month for 18 months with no interest. From what I have seen it covers more tires if they are cut or blowout, rental.
My questions are 1- has anybody heard of Fidelity 2- has anyone had any dealings with them 3-on a GMPP plan after you extend your warranty can you extend again and if so for how long.
I am leaning toward the GMPP from Fitchner but when I was told of this plan, I thought I'd look into it.The guy told me he sold this plan 90 out of 100.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Go with the aftermarket if you want to eat your investment. 2 out of 3 go out of business in less than 3-5 years and then you are stuck. Stick with us and the GMPP and you will never be sorry. They are going to sell you the aftermarket every time because they make $1500-$2000 gross profit on it and very little on GMPP so what do you think he is going to sell you.

P.S. I am the one that handles the GMPP's at our store so please Email me at gmpp@fichtnerchevrolet.com. If you email Ken it may not get answered for quite some time, he is very busy running our service dept.

Haven't heard of Fidelity. If it were me, betweent those two, I'd stick with GMPP - you know they are going to be there. And I do believe that you can extend the warranty after you buy it, but best to check with Dennis Fichtner on that.
I couldn't find anything so I finally called Fidelity and found out the 5 year 100000 mile. The man said that if the car has less than 6000 miles on it, then yes that was correct. But you would use the remainder of the factory warranty, so it is not a full 5 year warranty.
Also, if the car has more than 6000 miles, which mine does, the warranty starts in January the year of the car. So I buy a 5 year warranty for 2500 that is good for only 28 months. WHAT A RIPOFF!!!!!!!
So I call the dealership back and talk to another finance man about the warranty and he finally fesses up that everything was correct. So he tells me I should consider a 7 year plan. I tell him that is no good because I also found out the warranty is only good to 60000 miles.
Next I ask him about GMPP. He says they are too expensive but gives me a quote anyway. He wants 500 more than Dennis for the same warranty. That was when I told him to have a great day because I was going to buy a GMPP from Fitchner.
Dennis I am the one you talked to the other. Thank you for your time.
I will be purchasing GMPP from you around the first of Sept.
