While I don't put my A4 into "N" at a stop light, I would definitely suggest you get your car dyno tuned. I know a lot of people here told you NOT to tune, until you modify your car, but what if you don't plan on modding it???
Personally, I had my Vette tuned before I did any mods and let me tell you, after the tune, the difference was like night and day. It was the best $300 I spent on the car
(Just make sure they change the shift points, for the tranny too.)
About two months afterwards, I had a Calloway CAI, headers, X-pipe, hi-flow cats and indy exhaust installed, the car was re-tuned and it really is a lot more fun to drive. I don't plan on having heads and a cam installed now, because the car drives the way I want it to.
While the extra hardware makes a difference, in my opinion, the original tune is what "awakened the beast".... Especially for an A4 and getting the chance to drive the car in both "tuned" and "untuned" conditions, for a while.
While I don't regret the cost of asperating the car, I really don't think a H/C job is worth the cost (bang to the buck) to the performance gains I would get...... Especially since I don't race the car. But a really good tune...... Well, that investment was worth every penny.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I just leave mine in "D"
Take it to a turner who does Vettes or check into a hand held turner. Or just enjoy untill you have it all figured out.
