Also, I have the habit of putting the automatic transmission in neutral at long traffic lights; is this a good thing to do? Thanks to everybody.

And putting the Vette into park at stop lights actually causes transmission wear (multiple shifts from park to drive) IMO.

Just some things to think about while in N at the light:
If you're behind another car and your in N and get rear-ended....well, look forward to getting both ends of your car worked on
(unless you have your brake on in N, in which case what is the point of having it in N anyway?)If you're not paying attention and there is an imperceptible hill you may just roll backwards into someone while looking for that CD or dialing that number.
I've seen it happen twice personally, so it certainly isn't unfeasable.Just my $.02, and I prefer to know it's in 1,2,3 or D and ready to go with my foot firmly on the brake until I'm ready to unleash the beast.
Again, welcome and take care!

! You'll love the vette! I would put on a CAI, headers, x pipe and cat back exhaust before you do a tune, but I 'm not familiar w/ Knoxville, and I can't answer your ? about autos, I have a MN6. Well. 1 out of 3 aint bad!
coasting up to a stop sign or stop light in neutral will (may)be harmful....something to do with a drop of tranny fluid pressure...
but i'm sure the guru's will add to this if i've heard wrong !

Wait on a few more mods before you get a tune - its not cheap. I'd leave the car in drive if it were mine.
