I almost forgot that GROND was actually a car and not just a collection of parts.

I look forward to this event all year long!

Lance,

looks like you guys put the Pace Car registry in a decent spot this year!

I am really looking forward to this, being my first year with my first vette. I only hope that it looks half as good as the rest of everyone's cars. I'm probably going to have the only road rashed driver there.

I registered for the "Fun Field". So am I correct in assuming that in addition to the card I got in the mail I am to be expecting a registrant package as well??

What would you guys recommend bringing to the show?? I firgure a couple of collapsable chairs for the wife and I, and LOTS of money for parts, and the camera obviously, but what else?? Only other Carlisle show I've been to was a one day attendance at the GM Nats last year just to check it out.

GOOD SHOES..
FULL COOLER..
A CHAIR...

And park close to someone who has a 10x10 tent set up IF possible...LOL

Laying down on the shady side of your Corvette to get some shade is not always possible..
It can get real hot in August in Penna.

Honestly since I have not needed parts the last 3-4 years
Carlisle has become more of a Social Event for me. That is not to say I will not drop a grand with the vendors...

Lance,

I won't be able make it this year unfortunately

"Project Mayhem" (as Connecticut calls it) is still months away from completion

That's a shame, I was hoping to pick your brain a little bit in regards to a FI setup that I am having installed. Maybe you can come with your DD? Or better yet rent a vette from the exotic car rental places?

You should be receiving the windshield sticker any day now (mine arrived today) plus some information.

In addition to the folding chairs, be sure to bring:

Umbrellas for the chairs (to shade the sun and to protect you from the inevitable rain)
Very comfortable shoes
Lots of water
Cleaning products for the car
Sunscreen
Hats
$$$

Enjoy it all! The 3 days will fly by!!!

Stephen,

Great picture!! Of course, your car is right beside my husband's '02! In fact, he's to the rear of the Electron Blue talking to the Sheriff of Bowling Green! You're right...it was a great spot!

EnglandGreen-

It appears you have some work to complete before coming to Carlisle - I understand completely. I respect the heck out of you for charging forward with such a large project yourself! I can't wait to see the car when it's completed. Keep on chugging along and you'll be done before you know it (easy for me to say, right!?!?)

Good luck with it!

Cheers,

Lance
