Hey Jason,
Glad you are enjoying your new Viper, they are an exotic looking car. I was looking at one before I bought my 04 vert and the only thing that discouraged me was the getting in and out and the pedal locations. Other than that

However,....... for MOST of us it IS about the $$$$$, and unless your REALY crazy,... when I pull up behind you in my vet youll just let me go by! The viper is all those things you suggest, and I believe more! but While some Viper guys do some mods not many realy go to the wall! Thanks for the comparison. I have never had the chance to see a Viper up close. Unlike some of the other members on here, I appreciate all types of cars, old, new, hot rods, kit cars, etc.

Tell you what-how about you and I take a 10 hour trip in our cars? I guarantee I'll be able to stand up when we get there. Viper is great if you never have to drive over an hour for anything.

Beautiful GTS! I wish I would've held out for a GTS when I was Viper shopping. Instead I bought a Gen 1, '95. You definitely made the right choice. My '95 was nothing but a headache and quite honestly the biggest POS I ever bought. I know I would've enjoyed the GTS a lot more. Congrats!

But I love my vette and I love the Vipers also!!!!!! If I had the money I would own 1 of each......maybe after I pay off my 02 C5, I'll get a Viper also.....

Nice car you bought. I like the Viper too, but no enough to want to trade my C5 on one yet. Perhaps some day.

The Viper is a great looking car. I think for driveability, I would still rather have a Vette.

So in reality - you came back to tell us what a bunch of losers we are because we choose to drive a Corvette, with it's "cheesy GM parts bin interior", poor fit and finish and crappy suspension. We are supposed to ooh and ahh over your Viper, your house and your trophy wife, and wish we were you. Driving the Viper makes you feel like a rockstar, with people hounding you with questions and taking pictures on their camera phones....

Tell us how you really feel...Don't sweat it. He's just proud of what he's accomplished. Nothing at all wrong with that. Anyone that has driven a Viper knows the interior of the Viper is no better than the C5 Corvette. Matter of fact, it's actually a very boring, cheap looking interior compared to a C5 Corvette. And the overall build quality is certainly not better than the C5. It's just a much rarer car that grabs attention like a foreign exotic.

Comparisons aren't worth much from an owner. They need to be independent and that's been done (more han once). The Corvette beat the Viper in almost all performance tests and every test driver says the Vette is WAY more comfortable and driver friendly.
They definitely are RockStar cars. If I could afford that house and a ten car garage there woudl definitley be a Viper in it. Until then we all make choices and the smart money goes on the Vette.
