Viper Vs Vette
Listen, I have owned a 62 Vette, 66 roadster, 71 LS5, 89 vert and lastly 99 built stroker Vert. I simply gave an opinion to people on a forum that I have been on for a few years - nothing more.
I am not saying "Viper is better" or "Corvettes suck".
I should have known some of you girls would get upset and make stupid comments, I've seen them on this forum for years.
Say what you will, I won't be responding again - but to all you car guys like me - PEACE!
BTW- I am 34 and work hard. I built that house myself over 4 long years. I think my wife is great and had her take a pic with my last car and I never would "act better" than anyone else here.
Guess you could say I'm a "Redneck with Money!" Now go have a beer and CHILL OUT!
Sorry that you got upset about the responses. I have had a few sport cars, C4, Audi TT, Z3, /// M Roadster, Gen. 1 Viper RT/10, Porsche Boxster S, and now my C5. I have been involved faithfully with every forum with that car. Did trips, clubs, shows, factory tours, homecomings, and mingled both on and off line with all these people. It has been the best experiences and memories I will ever have. Please donot let people upset you on the car you have currently. I have been on the Viper forum when I owned my Viper. They are the same way. They favor their car and talk down Vettes etc. It is the nature of the ongoing feud between car enthusiasts. These guys here, donot deserve to be called girls. They are as proud and enthusiatic about their car like you are now or used to be about your Vette. When you talk up another car on a forum not for that car, you must understand that you have opened up a can of worms. Donot take it personal. Enjoy your Viper and come on here and say hi. Posting pictures might not be the right way to say HI....Just a opinion from a real girl here.

Grow up man.......these are Corvettes not Ferraris or some other exotic. I love my Z as much as any of you love your Vette, but Jeez...................All the guy was doing was what he said he would in his other post (if you read it).......which was get back with us to let us know the differences he found in the 2 cars.
Jason, I dont really know you, but congrats on the car & yea, your house is very nice. , as well as your wife. Good luck with the car & enjoy!
And let him "show off" his car in the viper forum where it might be more welcome. You don't come into the CF's general section and bad mouth a vette while praising a Chrysler over it. Sounded pretty biased to me. I guess some of you can't understand though.

fact of the matter is both cars suck on the inside. The vette because of cheap platic crap and that you can reach behind your radio bezel and rewire the radio while its in the dash
. The viper because you can wear anything other than dr shoals slippers to drive without stepping on your own feet and the center console is bigger than the seat. they both have cheap written all over them, but we buy them anyways and love them. so what!i do agree that this thread is more exciting than "were's the wave" or "how old were you when you bought your first vette" or "why do the mustangs try to race me"
p.s. dont join viper alley!
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Jason. - Welcome to Viper ownership. It's a blast. I just picked up a 98 GTS. I have always wanted one and now can afford one but not the other so the Vette had to go. I know what you mean about the rockstar thing. It's fun at first but can get annoying. The biggest problem with the Viper is the attention. I have yet to come out of a store / mall / restaurant etc etc and not have someone standing beside it taking pictures or looking at it. When you drive it every time you stop at a light someone is talking to you or asking me to take a picture with their camera phones or digital cameras. I've had guys get out their video cameras and walk around it. As far as the interior I would have to say I think the Vette had a nicer interior than my Viper. I found it to be more classy and comfortable but then again I didnt buy the Viper for creature comforts. They are 2 different cars yet both amazing. I dont track my cars so I can't tell you what the performance differences are but I do know that the Viper feels tighter and more stuck to the road than the Vette. The a$$ end of the Viper will come out FAST with the torque it has and with no active handling or traction control it can ugly real fast. As far as sound....there will never be anything that sounds as good as a V8 to me. The Viper stock is probably the worst sounding car I have ever heard. Mine has a high flow cats and a full Borla Cat back. sounds really good now... but stock....yuck. As far as acceleration there is no comparison. It pulls HARD from all rpms and the car just doesnt seem happy unless it's doing 120 mph.
There's my comparison. Both amazing cars to me and I will own another Vette some day. Hopefully a C6 Z06 when they come down in price. After the Viper I want a Cobra and then probably back to a Vette. All in good time. Like yourself I'm young enough to be able to enjoy them all before I'm 50...then I'll buy a motorhome and do some travelling. ha ha..
Enjoy the Viper. It's a blast. Oh ya.... You should have bought a red one....they're much faster...LOL
Is the Viper different than a Ford GT in comparison to a Vette, which is what I was writing about? The comparison....
Enjoyed you post! Glad you got to stay in General, because it is educational for other C5 owners.

So in reality - you came back to tell us what a bunch of losers we are because we choose to drive a Corvette, with it's "cheesy GM parts bin interior", poor fit and finish and crappy suspension. We are supposed to ooh and ahh over your Viper, your house and your trophy wife, and wish we were you. Driving the Viper makes you feel like a rockstar, with people hounding you with questions and taking pictures on their camera phones....
I think you meant to post this drivel at http://www.viperalley.com/ with the rest of the attention deprived -

Great post. A thread slamming Corvettes on the Corvette Forum and when people don't like it he calls us "girls." Can you imagine the horror that we all didn't kiss his shoes?

I suppose though, that now since youre also wise enough to slam Ferrari, and even hint that a Vette (C5) can rival one, makes it totaly useless to converse with you.

I feel bad for people like you. What I would have to say about you would take to much bandwidth...
