Sounds pretty normal to me. It doesn't take but a few days for the back to get dirty even when the rest of the car is clean. I think the design lends itself to dirt and exhaust sticking to the back.
Are you sure it's soot or residue from your exhaust or is it just dirt and crap off the road. The aerodynamics of these things tend to get the rear end really dusty and if you're driving around wet or dusty environments you would have picked up quite a bit in a 200 mile trek. My MY gets its *** end dirty going down the highway...
If you are in fact running that rich, that it gets your whole rear end dirty, your exahaust tips and the areas around it would be BLACK.
