Default ??? Borla ???'s

Just bought a 02 yell Z with a Borla stinger exhaust kit ... Just got in after a 200 mile ride - Holy **** rear covered in black exhaust specks

Is this normal and can I expect this every ride - man my arm is gonna fall off washing this machine ...

THX

The mufflers shouldn't cause any more or less soot on the rear end. Car sounds rich.

Sounds pretty normal to me. It doesn't take but a few days for the back to get dirty even when the rest of the car is clean. I think the design lends itself to dirt and exhaust sticking to the back.

How do I correct this...?

Also, I forgot to add the Dude had put on one of those Vararam CAI's along with the Borla exhaust ... I'm not sure how pertinent ...

If it is really bad, you can take it a dyno/tune shop and have them tweak the tune a bit. Should pick up a few ponies too.

Are you sure it's soot or residue from your exhaust or is it just dirt and crap off the road. The aerodynamics of these things tend to get the rear end really dusty and if you're driving around wet or dusty environments you would have picked up quite a bit in a 200 mile trek. My MY gets its *** end dirty going down the highway...

If you are in fact running that rich, that it gets your whole rear end dirty, your exahaust tips and the areas around it would be BLACK.
