Default Repairs needed on Cape Cod

Can anyone recommend a repair shop on Cape Cod, or in Eastern Mass. Both power windows have stopped working on my 2004. At least they stopped in the closed position.

Why don't you take it to a dealer? Sounds like it would be covered under the GM warranty.

You might want to check the fuse first.

I should have checked the archives first. I had already checked the fuses, so that was not the problem. Apparently this is not an uncommon problem and one of the solutions posted in the archives was to slam the doors while holding the switch on. After severa rather hard slams, I got both windows to start working again. Don't know for how long, but for now OK

This sounds like a problem (and solution) to a car (not a vette) I had years ago. The power window switch contacts were aluminum, and apparently they would corrode fairly easily, breaking the electrical contact. Banging on the armrest next to the switches jostled them enough to "reconnect" and operate. My solution back then was to periodically (it was easy to get at) pull the switches and scrape the aluminum contacts so they were clean and shiny. Good luck.
