good morning to all my favorite folks....vette lovers.....my headlights are refusing to go up upon activating the column switch......however they do go up automatically with the twilight setting in the on position....also while in the twilight on mode they will not go back down when shutting off the car even in a lighted place...my question is what is causing the column switch to not activate the headlights from popping up when i turn the switch....is it the switch or a fuse problem...thanks in advance for your support.

I would venture to guess that the switch has failed. A buddy of mine had the exact same issues, and if he monkeyed around with it enough, eventually the lights would come up. The dealer replaced the switch under his extended warranty......
It sounds like the switch. The Twilight Sentinal applies power to the same circuit that the switch is connected to, so that would indicate that there's no issue with the circuit.
I'm not sure why they won't go down without looking at the schematic, but I believe even when the TS powers down, the circuit then looks at the switch state and if the switch is not functioning properly it would be a likely cause as well.
