owned an 84' for 6 months when i was 19. after awhile, i came to find out that was one of the worst models ever made, and mine wasnt in great condition either, but never the less, i was hooked. now i just bought a 99' while in iraq, and cant imagine what that'll be like. not to mention i already have about $2,500 worth of work put into it before i even drive it. i dont deserve this.
Spiderbitten,
I must insist that you change your profile.
If you don't deserve this, nobody does. Nobody on this forum. Especially not the whiny overgrown adolescents who can't see beyond the size of a monthly payment, convince themselves that just because a bank will give them the money that they can afford a new C6, and as a result get in over their heads financially so fast that they can't see up anymore. I can't tell you how much I respect a man of your age who is not only out there protecting us, but is so capable of keeping a level head about what it's like back in the world at the same time.
As for mods - here's my stock advice to everyone considering an exhaust mod: Add a ceramic coated tunnel plate from http://www.eliteengineeringusa.com while you're at it. The tunnel gets way hot anyway - hotter still with headers/custom exhausts. So hot that stuff in the console cooks. The AC will keep up, but keeping heat out is a lot better than dealing with it once it's come inside. Before I put mine on, I was putting a towel between my right knee and the tunnel.
Stay safe, get home quick, and enjoy the ride!
