Default iraq

whats going on!! long time reader, first time poster.
i'll get to it. i'm a marine in iraq right now, and while over here, i've bought my dream car, a c5. its a 99' torch red coupe (A4). bought it stock from bob mr. corvette in naples florida. and since im waiting to come home, i bought some parts for it to be added on before i come home.
- bbk intake, gm performance mass air flow sensor, b&b tri flow exhaust, splitfire spark plugs, performance bushings, z06 calipers and rotars, chrome z06 wheels, new GY runflats, and a jet performance stage 1 pcm.
i realize i probably shouldnt have bought the jet chip after i had already bought i, but i'll se how it works anyway, there are a few good post out there about it.
my question is, are these parts a good start, in combination with each other, to make a faster yet still good milage vette? would you recommend anything else to go with these things besides headers and x-pipe?
also, anyone know a good tuner in NC or atlanta, GA area?
thanks for the replys in advance. damn it i cant wait to come home and drive it. i had an 84' before, and learned afterwards that its probably one of the worst years theyve made, and mine wasnt in good condition either, but i'll be damned if i didnt think it was the best car in the world. now i've got a 99'. cant imagine.

MTI in Marietta, GA. I wouldn't have it tuned with the Jet chip in-line.

First, thanks for your service. Second, it sounds like you're off to a good start in the perfomance department. Congrats on the new car. Post some pics when you get home.

welsome, my only suggestion would be to get different tires, the runflats dont perform too well, maybe look at a stall converter for the A4

Welcome!

I would send the Jet PCM back and get your Vette custom dyno-tuned. It will be a better tune than a generic Jet tune.

I would also recommend a high-flow air filter system like the Breathless Vortex or Blackwing.

Be safe. Thank you for protecting Freedom!

I did the same thing as you bro except I bought mine before I left so I at least got to drive it. haha. I lucked out this rotation and ended up in Kuwait but still a long way away from my vette. All I can do here is spend money on mods and have them piled up in the garage for when I get back.

From reading this forum I decided on 4.11 gears (M6) a CAI and a full exhaust. I really wanted a supercharger but I couldn't convince the wife that a $8k blower was a good investment.

Good luck in Iraq...keep your head down.
