Throttle position sensor

Hi: Could not start my 98 ,auto trans, 59000 mi,

last night.Would bearly crank,low voltage message,DRLs out,etc. Started OK today. My mechaniic said it could be the throttle position sensor.Threw this code,but today the car is fine.PS, three weeks ago had to replace the alternator(GM) Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi: Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure, as it was installed by the previous owner. However, we did a "load test" and it checked out OK. Perhaps, I should replace it anyway. (There is an Optima red in the vehicle)

i bearly cranked over and passed a load test ? no problems before ? i assume they charged it before testing can you remove the tops for a spec. grav. test.
