[Z06] Holes in titanium muffers ?

Holes in titanium muffers ?
While taking a few shots from the underside of the car I noticed one small hole in each of the two titanium muffers. I'm still very new to the Z06, so this may sound stupid but are those holes supposed to be in that place ?! Somehow they look like they were done by the previous owner instead of a factory thing.... but then again they look to be in the very same place on each side of the muffler, also the car surely doesn't sound like it's having "drilled out" mufflers... can somebody please give me more info about this...
