Killer Deal???

If it looks like the one below it's a 2000 or 2001. Not a bad price if it's been taken care of. Check the top, the seats, under the hood and for leaks. Make sure all the electrical works, including lights. Then it depends on the options and the year. Good Luck
It is a 2001, not a 2003 and it is black with tan interior and tan top. (Not green like my stepson said... I'm going to have to have a talk with him!) 66,000 miles, in decent shape... minor scratches from not being loved as it should. Someone needs to spend some time cleaning it up... no dents (haha).
Here is what is wrong with it... climate control display not working, the A/C works OK but seems to need charging, message says need to check the tire pressure system, low tire pressure LR, pulls to the right... pulls more when the brakes are applied, drivers seat rocks alittle, missing radio **** and a few other cosmetic items. The car does not look abused but not overly care for either... like I said, should clean up real well. The top is in very good shape.
The guy said he would take $23,000 with out fixing anything. Didn't say what the price would be if he fixed everything. Any comments thus far? I took some pics but will have to wait until I get home from work to down load.

So the car was either repainted or was retitled out of state ...
if its a 2003 with 65K on the clock , thats a lot of miles in three years .
Seems more like a 2001 to me...
23K for a 2003 Vert throws up all kinds of flags for me.

I'm not to familliar with vert prices but i assume they are lil above a coupe with all options.. with that said the price especially at a dealer isn't to far off.. i'm gonna guess you can bring him down..
The display if it's like the common problem most of us have with it can be fixed with a lil time on your end... I did mine in 2 hours with an iron/sod.... or you can send it off to be fixed...
The tire sensor is referring to exactly that.. there are pressure sensor in the tires that monitor the pressure..
This doesn't affect the driving ability.. lucky for you those sensors are cheap, compared to earlier versions. as for the pulling... alignment.. depends on who does it.. vettes need a 4 wheel alignment. this could cost anywhere from $45 to several hundred dollars... harder pulling when braking could just be because of the alignment... If these are the only problems.. I'd talk him down and blow the cost up to have everything done/ replaced at the dealer (those climate control units aren't cheap)... You could get alot of vert vette for a very fair price and fix it all for less than $50 (on the cheap end) ...
besides black> all other colors
IMOthe rocking chair is normal and can be fixed....

Been a while since I posted but I had to write and ask a question. My stepson was out this afternoon looking for a used truck and found a Corvette at a nearby used car lot. I asked him about it and all he could remember was it was a 2003 convertible, green with tan interior with about 65,000 miles on it for $23,000. What kinda deal is that? If it is decent, I was thinking about slipping out for a few hours from work and going to check it out. If it is a good deal, what kinds of things should I look for... problems and such?
Thanks for the input.
Later...
Be sure to check for transmission problems. Take it from someone who knows.

You may not find a near perfect 01-03 convertable vette with low miles for $23,000.
good luck, let us know what you do?
