Help with popup headlight problem
Did anyone have this problem and if so what did you do to correct.
My drivers side popup headlight opens and closes properly but when it closes the motor seems to run for 3 or 4 seconds longer and makes a buzzing noise. Brought it in to the dealership and off coarse thier solution is to replace the motor for 500.00. I was hoping it was just soem sort of sensor that would "tell" motor to shut off , when light closes. ant feedback appriecited. Thanks, Ted

You have astripped headlight gear. Its a very common problem and you can replace the gear with a brass one. Run down this thread to "Headlight Gears" and theres a good description of the problem with pictures
