Ouch...we drive nice cars, but want to pirate so quickly. The kits on eBay are my kits. I had them here with a GP for a while, but after the GP, the volume didn't make up for the advertising fees, so I just sell them on eBay now.
The kits I have on eBay are complete with everything you'll need, including color directions (and a DVD with buy it now purchases).
I'm now back in school full time (nearly 10 years since I rec'd my bach. degree) in pursuit of a medical degree. These kits are one of the few sources of additional income that I receive to help support my family while I'm in school.
You can put together a HUD setup for less than my kits, but the savings would be minimal and you'd have potentially many more headaches.
I would recommend Josh (PaceThis). The kit comes with great directions, and he is a phone call away if you need help. Great product, and a great supplier.
Just purchased a 2003 coupe without the HUD option. Is it possible, resonable and/or advisable to install one? I really like the HUD but could not pass on this low milage Vette...
Thanks
Sgt Paul
Don't worry, my 01 didn't come with HUD either, but I added it without any hitches. Found the parts on ebay separately for about $250 including the 11 pin harness(the hardest part to find). If you're semi-mechanically inclined, you can do this also, your car is already set up for this. And yes, you DO NOT need a HUD windshield to accomplish this! Some people will may make alot of $$ (more corvette tax) to give you this option, but I will give you as much info as I can for free, because your my corvette brother!
p.s.-if you decide to do it, take your time in cutting the dash for the HUD bezel, there isn't much room for error!
Mostly time. Not a lot of money. He'll be looking at about anywhere from $250 - $400 range, give or take. His IP is HUD-ready and all he needs is the projector, cable, hud switch and dashboard bezel.
Not as costly as it used to be. I think Forum member PaceThis offers a package for around $400.00. Install is a piece of cake as long as you have good instructions and a lot of patience.
